Heather + Mike

A few years back I did a post on the top 5 reasons why I loved this wedding at the High Star so I’m going back to making lists and bumping it up to 10 new reasons (why I loved this wedding) ~ at the High Star.

1. Climbing hay bales is good clean fun!

2. 360 degrees of gorgeous, every direction you turn. (If you have not been out there for the annual Harvest Fest in October then you need to check it out, the place is mountain rustic and beautiful!)

3. Amazing summer sunsets (complimentary with every wedding I’ve photographed there). 😉

4. Giant sized Jenga (see picture below) I need this for my backyard now.

5. High Star Ranch is a short 15 minute drive from Park City’s Quinn’s junction (and 5 minutes from my house!)

6. So many places to shoot; by the lake/pond, on a bridge, a hay bale, in a meadow, against the mountains, in barn, against a rustic fence, you name it, it’s there.

7. The cowboys/ranch hands are friendly and add a western feeling to the ranch.

8. Mountain breeze and fresh air, (don’t count on an inversion to cramp your wedding style!)

9. Animals roaming around the ranch (fenced don’t worry!). When your family lives in the city, experiencing a real ranch wedding is a lot of fun. The occasional puppy, horses, birds chirping ~ love is in the air.

10. The freedom to wander around and explore the beauty around you! Grab a drink at the country store, then head over to play some corn hole, dinner outside and then dancing under the barn on a starry night!

Congrats again to Heather and Mike on their beautiful wedding!

Ps. Be sure to check out the table design Heather put together, an ensemble of mismatched cups and plates to create a cohesive shabby-chic table setting for her guests! Success! (She is a graphic designer), with great taste! Scroll down to the bottom to see the full vendor list!
